Աննա Վարդապետյանի հարցազրույցում հնչեցրած՝ Ֆրանսիայում օրգանների դոնորների՝ ավտովթարներից մահերի աճի մասին տեղեկատվությունը (առնվազն դրա պատճառների մեկնաբանությունը) ինձ անհավանական թվաց։ Փորձեցի այն ստուգել, բայց անգլերենով ձևակերպված որոնման հարցումների արդյունքներն այդ երևույթը չհաստատեցին։ Ըստ ամենայնի սա կեղծ կոռելյացիայի սխալ մեկնաբանություն է։ Օրինակ, օրգանների դոնորների ռեեստրի ներմուծումը համընկել է ավտոտրանսպորտային միջոցների արագ տարածման և դրանից բխող ավտովթարներից մարդկանց մահացության հետ։ Չի բացառվում, որ այդ համընկնումը ամենևին պատահական էլ չէր․ միգուցե, վիճակագրությունը ցույց էր տալիս առաջընթացին անխուսափելիորիեն ուղեկցող ավտովթարներից մահացության աճի միտում, և, անկարող լինելով այն կանխել, կառավարությունը որոշել է այդ չարիքը գոնե որոշ չափով կոմպենսացնել ի շահ օրգանների կարիք ունեցող հիվանդների՝ նախօրոք ընդունելով համապատասխան օրենսդրություն օրգանների դոնորության մասին։ [Read More]

Context In search of some constituents of an ideal programming language last week I finally quickly looked at Haskell. Yesterday I filed a request with the Payoneer customer support via their web form. The form enforces selecting the subject from a predefined list with no “Other” option. In a lot of cases a piece of software starts as a clean and simple idea that gradually grows into a much larger body of code as it is enhanced with various functionality and features.
